On
busy days two thousand cars, perhaps 6,000
people visit Glendalough, one of the most
striking monastic sites. Looking around
a latter-day graveyard however, how difficult
it is to imagine the thriving monastic community
we are told once lived there! This film
put together some of the facts which may
help to form a better picture of life and
times in a Celtic monastery a thousand years
ago.
