Black
Valley Church:
The Black Valley is at the end of the
Gap of Dunloe. Fr. Sears wanted to build a
church there. Many said it was impossible
due not only to shortage of money but also
due to remoteness of the area and the almost
impossible task of getting materials to the
site. With volunteers from the area and Fr.
Sears as clerk of works, builder, etc. the
project was completed. There are interviews
with Fr. Sears and local people.
Station Mass:
The preparation that takes place when
a house has been chosen for the celebration
of mass. In this film, Mrs. D. Casey, Derra,
Brosna and other members of the household
with their neighbours and the local clergy
gather for the celebration. |
